about me
My 15-plus years professional experience across all types of media are what make
me stand out from the crowd.
I began my writing career in the late Eighties as a national newspaper journalist in London.
These included The Times, The Sunday Times,
Sunday Express and Daily Mail. My specialty was alternative
health and green issues, although I would write celebrity interviews and
various news features too.
But it was as the senior corporate editor of the Financial Services Authority that I gained
my experience in turning complex and jargon-riddled content
into plain language and well-structured copy. I carried that through as
web editor for the Royal College of Nursing, and also in writing a user guide for
Vodafone's intranet CMS.
These days, though, I'm a freelance copywriter, and I've worked on various websites and projects for
top London agencies like Framfab (LBi), DNA Consulting
and Joshua Interactive. I've also written some government web sites and one, for CSCI, won this year's
New Statesman Media Award for Accessibility.
